For Immediate Release April 8, 2004 Local Night Club and Jewellery Store Team Up In A $10,000.00 Diamond Jewellery Give-Away To Fundraise For Breast Cancer Research. Gordie Cameron from Velvet Underground night club and Philip Sullivan from Jewellery Plus have joined forces in an effort to raise funds in support of breast cancer research. Gordie approached me a short while ago about doing a ladies night fundraiser said Sullivan. We talked over a few different ideas and decide upon doing a unique give away. Every lady who comes to Velvet Underground on Thursday nights will have a chance to win a beautiful 14 karat white gold necklace and ¼ carat solitaire diamond pendant valued at over $500.00, plus we’re going to give away a sterling silver necklace with a ¼ carat solitaire cubic zirconium pendant valued at over $20.00 to every lady who comes out. So all ladies get to come out and have a great time and during the night, the winner of the diamond necklace for that night will be announced. A portion of the cover charge will be donated to the atlantic chapter of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and tickets will be sold during the night for more chances to win the $500.00 diamond necklace.
